Brad Velie
Mr. Velie is a seasoned financial due diligence professional in multiple industries with varying sized companies. He has spent over twenty years in due diligence in healthcare segments of all types, as well as multiple other industries outside of healthcare. His underwriting and due diligence work was primarily in ABL, real estate, cash flow and quality of earnings. Prior to his due diligence career, he was a senior financial executive, including CFO, in multiple public and private companies. He was the founding CFO of several PE sponsored startup companies. He has designed and implemented all systems and processes in the creation of companies and is experienced in financial and regulatory reporting, debt and stock offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. He started his career in public accounting.
He received a BBA in Accounting from Valdosta State University and an MBA from the University of Georgia. He is a CPA and a member of the AICPA.
Michael Gillen
Mr. Gillen has been a CFO or Corporate Controller for over twenty years. He has been in the healthcare industry for the majority of his career with a focus in healthcare clinics, urgent care, emergency medicine, standalone and hospital-based emergency departments, women’s services and oncology SaaS. He has led the financial operations of multiple companies ultimately leading to a successful execution of each exit strategy. He has experience working with PE sponsors and is highly skilled in all phases of mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions. Prior to his healthcare career, he was in the audit division of Arthur Andersen Chicago working with both public and nonpublic companies in many industries.
He received a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois – Champaign with high honors. He is a CPA and a member of the AICPA.
